Lighthouse at Sunset

We’re having a bit of a winter storm today, although it’s not quite as bad as was predicted.  Still had to go out and shovel a couple of times.  Makes me appreciate my Florida photos a bit.

This one was taking right at sunset.  We were driving along and noticed that it was near sunset — and the thought to check out the Hillsborough Inlet Lighthouse came to mind.  Took quite a few pictures as the colors were spectacular.  Too bad there was that oddly colored junk in front of it.

More in the Pier Collection

There’s a winter storm on the way so I decided to live in a state of denial and play around with some more of my vacation beach pictures (sigh).  Makes me wish I was there today.  One thing I can say for Deerfield Beach – it has the best sunrises!  Every morning we went, they were spectacular.  But really, how many sunrise pier pictures can one take?  Apparently a lot.

Another from the Pier Set

I haven’t been on for a few days.  Finally finished up my Photoshop class for PCM Courseware and have now moved onto Excel 2013.  Got around to going through some photos this afternoon and realized that I had not added this one to my portfolio.

Kletzsch Park dam in January

I needed to get out and get a bit of fresh air so we took a little river walk yesterday after the snow.  Kletzsch Park, the little park near my house, has a man-made dam that is interesting no matter what time of year.  I must say that right now, it looks especially spectacular.  The river is just starting to freeze.  Snapped a whole bunch of photos — will have to see what’s salvageable.

Window in a Tunnel

Finally, the temperature was in the 40’s today so I decided to go on a neighborhood photo shoot.  It was  great time to go as everything was in an interesting “melting” state – especially the river.  Took over 100 photos today.  Going to let them sit on the SD card for awhile before I import them.  That way, when I do go through them, I’m looking at them with a fresh eye.

Today’s photo is from Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park in Key Largo.  While walking through a tunnel, there was a window in the ceiling about halfway through.  Thought the perspective was kind of cool.

Oh Rocky!

Snowy day here…mixed with sleet and ice.  Good day to sit at the computer and play round with images.  I kind of thought these rocks at the beach were cool.
