For those of you who’ve been following me for awhile, you’ll know that I had posted quite a few book reviews to this blog. A lot actually. Several a week.
The thing of it is, is that I didn’t intended this to be a book review blog…it just kind of happened.
My original intention with my rogerhyttien.com blog was to be a place where I talk about my work and talk about me a bit, offering you the chance to get to know me better. But then I started writing reviews (I couldn’t help myself…I love books!).
I also have a BookTube channel called Roger’s Reads in where I talk about books. So I asked myself,
“Hey Roger! Why don’t so start a separate book reivew blog and call it Roger’s Reads?”
So I said, “Hey Roger, that’s a great idea.”
So Roger’s Reads – the blog was born. I moved all the book reviews that were here over to there and from this point forward, will only post my reviews there. If you click on the Book Reviews link on top of this page, it will take you right over there. Or you can go to https://rogersreads.com.
So this blog is going to mainly be about my work, my life and things I like (and dislike). I hope you’ll stick around.
But if you’re just here for the reviews, then rogersreads.com is the place to be.

If you’ve been thinking about rereading the Harry Potters series or if you’re brand new to the Harry Potter world, then you may be interested in my Harry Potter Read-a-long that I’ll be hosting on my YouTube (Booktube) channel (Roger’s Reads) beginning this coming Sunday, May 13.
We’ll be reading 2-3 chapters a week, working our way through the entire series. In the comments section, we can discuss what you liked/disliked about the chapters, chapter themes, character development or anything else you’d like to talk about relating to the chapters read.
The first book we’ll be reading is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (or Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone if you’re reading the UK version) and we’ll be reading Chapters 1-2 for this Sunday. Don’t worry if you haven’t gotten the book yet — the video will remain up and will be there until you’re ready.
Questions? Let me know.
You can purchase Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone here at Amazon or at The Book Depository.

In addition to fiction, I also write computer training manuals and software manuals to help users get up to speed quickly with whatever software they’re using. My “Up To Speed” guides are available in ebook format from Amazon, Apple iBooks, Kobo and Barnes and Noble. If you’re a PDF type of person, the PCM Courseware site carries them in PDF format.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I recently started a Booktube Channel called Roger’s Reads. If you’re not familiar with BookTube, this refers to content creators on YouTube that film videos around book-related topics.
My specific channel is where I talk about bookish things, discuss the books I’ve read, the books I want to read and book to movie adaptations. At the moment, I’m posting every Tuesday and Thursday but may add in an extra day. If you’d like to check it out, the URL is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4j01M8gupBraeWtRutrwWQ
My most recent video is where I filmed my reaction to the movie Love, Simon. You can check out that video at: https://youtu.be/tFVqIL_BJoQ
If you like the channel, please consider subscribing. This way, you’ll be notified whenever I post a new video.
