Reminiscing about Beaches

I am playing around some more today with my Deerfield Beach photos.  The colors came out quite intense, especially the orange.  While it is eye-popping, I like it.  This is how I torture myself in January in Milwaukee — look at beach photos.  That’s what happens when I take 1200 vacation photos!

Watching the Sunrise

This will be the last (I think) of my Deerfield Beach series.  I took this one right before sunrise one morning of a fellow watching the sunrise.  It’s on these gray, January days in Milwaukee that make me wish I was back in Deerfield Beach.

Deerfield Beach Pier

I spent a lot of time this year at the Deerfield Pier, snapping photos in the early morning.  I took many of the pier, which appeared different in every photo depending on the angle and perspective — although, I have to admit that I have a strange weakness for piers.  This is one that I particularly liked.

Snails

A couple of weeks ago, I was walking by the Milwaukee River near my house and came across these two snails (yes, there are two of them).  They’re cool, but a tad creepy at the same time.  At certain times during the year, there are so many of them on the bank of the river that you have to be careful where you walk.  This is the only place where I’ve seen so many snails — even on the walking paths.
